An important part of the farm dynamics is how the maremmas and the chooks interact. Part of the trouble is that chooks typically act like hysterical squeaky toys which only excites the dogs and it all gets out of hand. So with the introduction of a calm breed of chooks things will hopefully be easier!

The Cast
The boys:
Mr Wolf (the original cockerel but perhaps not useful as a breeding male!)
Chow Mein (don't need a Light Rooster but couldn't let him go off to become dinner, hence the name!)

Fabio: sadly may never be used as he injured himself.and can't walk (update: it took about 5 or 6 months but he can walk and more importantly is fertile!)
Heckle hasn't arrived yet.
Neither has Bob! (he has now!)
